Malaysia a Christian Nation?

What do I think? What do you think I think? I am a Muslim. So again, what do you think I think? A yes? No?

Fiqh Medic

What are the legal maxims of Islamic Law (QAWA’ID FIQHIYYAH). Let's say, if a patient is having a colostomy bag (which contains his urine or feces), would the ablution be valid? How about, if a women is in labour (bear in mind that giving birth to the first child can be as long as 19hours); can she still performs Salah? (Let's find the answer here.)

Men VS Women

Let's think critically. Who is the one which better in governing this world!? Men, who have more influencing and have strong character or women, who have emotional values, and boundless cares and love?

Are You Ready to Fall in Love??

What is love to begin with? we might assume that we have that sort of wonderful love, unshakeable by no others even death. We may sacrifice anything to our beloved person. But, if we claimed that we love Rasulullah, where are the proofs? You are willing to sacrifice anything for his sake?

Does God need us?

Now, tell me, what are the differences between this human-made lego tree and the one who created by our almighty creator, our god?

Erk. Uk. Ek. Gulp!

Maybe this is what happened when we recite the Quran.
Entangling and twisted tongue!
Stuttered. Stuck.

Then what happened next?
If we recite next to our friend, whom by the way can read fast, smooth, and with nice melody, we shrink! Ashamed! Our body size is becoming smaller and smaller. And slowly, we put the Quran back on the shelves, and move out.

So we become frustrated! Demotivated!
Even to finish one page, it took like 15 mins! Not to mention it’s not even melodious!
Wuu.. Then we bought ourselves some bubble tea or ice cream to increase back our body size. Eheh.

So my brothers and sisters, before we start to making excuses, by saying
“I’m not Arab’s”
“I’m malay, I have a malay tongue!”
“It’s my destiny to read only the last 3 surah bro.. serious.”
“I ate too much sambal last night”
Let’s hear what our prophet says about this,

1.Reward with difficulties

A’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, relates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have TWICE that reward."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Now, this hadeeth says about 2 kind of Quran reciter, and each one of them, will get distinctively different reward. Of course, the one read smoother get the best result, but look at what Rasulullah saw said, those who read with difficulty, get twice the rewards! Double!

An authentic hadith in At-Tirmithee states:

Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that “Alif, Laam, Meem” is a letter, rather I am saying that “Alif” is a letter, “laam” is a letter and “meem” is a letter.”

If the reward of 1 letter is multiplied by 10, then if we read with difficulties, the 10 multiplication will be multiplied doubled!

OK. I’m impressed.

So still wants reason to not continue reciting the Quran?

2. Allah's way of preserving the Quran

Err..why by being stuttered, the Quran is being preserved?
Simple. What do you do when you stuttered while reciting Quran?
You repeat the verse right?
Then you will continue to repeat and repeat until you get it right and satisfied.
And when you are doing that, you’re becoming familiar to the verse, isn’t?
So by doing so, you are indirectly memorizing the verse. And slowly, you are not just improving your recitation of the Quran, but also has memorise that particular verse of Quran.
And at the end of your effort, the Quran is engraved into your heart! Slowly.
So, Allah is not just preserving the Quran through the Hafiz and Hafizah, but through you!
Yes, you!

And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

[Al-Qamar 54:17]

And this verse, is a challenge from Allah. Do anyone want to recite to remember?
Do you?

So don’t feel bad when you stuttered. Just continue reciting the Quran.
The reward is so much more compared to not reading the Quran.
And indeed, in the sight of Allah, you are special because of those efforts of yours. So keep continue to improve your recitation and never give up yea?
Keep the high spirit.

Trust.Believe.Reliance.

Picture from here.

These are some of the qualities that distinguish us from one another from His perspective. Do we believe in Allah? How strong our trust is in Him? Do we have full dependence on Him?
“If a person is sincere towards Allah and all his affairs, Allah will give him more that what He gives to others, and this sincerity results from true love of Allah and true trust in Him. So the most sincere of people is the one who loves Allah most and puts the most trust in Him”
                                                                                                                                – Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim

No matter what circumstances we are in, the consequences will be in the hand of Almighty God. Sometimes we did not notice that a simple “basmallah” can change the situation from a negative intention to a blessed outcome i.e. what we actually decided to do. Meanwhile as a student, you know that you did not perform well in the exam. However, with your complete trust towards Him, knowing that He is the only one you are in favor of, the results turned out to be more than what you can ask for. And that is what He promises in return of our reliance on Him.
“If Allah helps you, none can overcome you. And if He forsakes you, who is there after Him that can help you? And in Allah alone let believers put their trust”
                                                                                                                             -Surah Ali-Imran [3:160]

So what if He did not ‘listen’ to your du’a?

“ When things do not go exactly the way we wanted, when we do not achieve what we have tried so hard to achieve or when we feel so let down by others, then always know that for as long as we have faith and trust in the Almighty, He definitely has something better in store for us, He has saved us from a calamity or disaster that would have been in our path or has elevated our status through surrendering to His decree.
We are not considered believers until we are pleased with the decisions made by Him. This will save us from much anxiety and depression. Try your best and leave the rest to Him.”
                                                                                                                                              -Mufti Menk

So, have trust in Him. Make it endless and beyond.

Inni tawakkaltu ala’Allahi rabbi wa rabbikum.

I put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord.
