Malaysia a Christian Nation?

What do I think? What do you think I think? I am a Muslim. So again, what do you think I think? A yes? No?

Fiqh Medic

What are the legal maxims of Islamic Law (QAWA’ID FIQHIYYAH). Let's say, if a patient is having a colostomy bag (which contains his urine or feces), would the ablution be valid? How about, if a women is in labour (bear in mind that giving birth to the first child can be as long as 19hours); can she still performs Salah? (Let's find the answer here.)

Men VS Women

Let's think critically. Who is the one which better in governing this world!? Men, who have more influencing and have strong character or women, who have emotional values, and boundless cares and love?

Are You Ready to Fall in Love??

What is love to begin with? we might assume that we have that sort of wonderful love, unshakeable by no others even death. We may sacrifice anything to our beloved person. But, if we claimed that we love Rasulullah, where are the proofs? You are willing to sacrifice anything for his sake?

Does God need us?

Now, tell me, what are the differences between this human-made lego tree and the one who created by our almighty creator, our god?

Begging in the mosque

Have you ever went to a mosque and seen a young child, old man or woman, or a disabled person sitting in a corner holding out a cup? Have you ever had a kid knocking on your car window asking for money after the Friday prayer?

Of course, if you feel no empathy towards these scenarios people might label you as a monster but for me, it got me thinking. No matter how hard life gets should we resort to begging random strangers in a mosque? The mosque being the house of God and Islam being the one and only true religion, isn’t there some way to help these people? Or perhaps, the question most people would probably ask, are they lying and making begging their occupation?

Begging is forbidden in principle; it is only in case of necessity or a dire need that it becomes permissible to do so as stated by Abu Haamid Al-Ghazali may Allah have Mercy upon him.

Personally, I think the act of shoving a cup to complete strangers is just wrong. We are no longer living in war times and Malaysia isn’t exactly a poor country. In fact there are even a lot of non-profit organizations out there that one can turn to. These organizations can even give you a halal work so that you can earn halal money. Here, I cite Shaikh al-Islam Ibn Taimiyah who said:

"Begging is forbidden whether it is in the mosque or outside it, unless there is a real need for it. If necessary, one may beg in the mosque as long as one does not harm anyone and does not lie in begging, or disturb the people by stepping over them or with one's loudness, for instance, when the people are listening to the Friday khutbah, and one distracts them by one's voice.”

Moreover, some scholars, like As-Suyooti may Allah have Mercy upon him stated that it is disliked to beg in the mosque for the general saying of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam (may Allah exalt his mention): “The mosques are not built for this.” [Muslim]

In case someone raises his voice in the mosque, he should be told not to do so, whether he was a beggar or else, but in principle, in rebuking the beggar, one should be soft and gentle and not harsh or severe.

The prophet also said:

"A person begs and begs..eventually, he appears on the Day of Judgment with no flesh on his face.", "A person who begs money when he does not need, collects fire." (al-Hindi, VI/495; Ibn Hajar, Bulugh`1-Maram, (Exp) N/144).

It is also  written in the Quran:

“alms are only for the poor and the needy, and the officials (appointed) over them, and those whose hearts are made to incline (to truth) and the (ransoming of) captives and those in debts and in the way of Allah and the wayfarer; an ordinance from Allah; and Allah is knowing, Wise." [At-Taubah, verse 60].

This is the hard proof that if the beggars are really in predicament, the mosque can use the zakat to help them. Therefore there should not be an issue of begging especially in the mosque. Even the Prophet has already mentioned how the beggar would pay on the Day of judgement.

However, our Prophet always gave something to people who asked him, kindly or rudely. In view of this, Imam al-Qurtubi said:

“Give something (even if it is very little) to the beggar or send him away with nice words; because he may be an angel who visits you to see how you use the blessings and bounties that Allah granted you.”

Therefore, we do not lose anything in giving something to the beggars, no matter whether they are lying or not. In fact we get more pahala in return.

However, begging is still a bad practice in Islam. So the next time you meet beggars at the mosque or anywhere else, muslim or not muslim, we should tell him in a suitable way that what he is doing is wrong. Of course, by doing so most of the time we would be scorned by the beggars who would probably say “If you don’t want to give anything then go away”. But at least we would have done something and played our part. The rest is up to him to correct his ways.

Yang Terbaik

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

situasi satu:

situasi dua :

  • Nama anda dipanggil guru.

Usah pula diremeh temehkan, dipandang sebelah mata!

Sebagaimana baiknya anda melayani orang luar,
berganda lagi layanan yang perlu anda berikan buat ahli keluarga anda.

 ingat pesan baginda?

khairukun.. khairukum... li ahlihi..

Ya..
kepada ayahnya,
kepada ibunya
kepada abangnya,
kepada kakaknya,
kepada suaminya,
kepada isterinya,
kepada anak-anaknya.

Tanyakan kepada diri, sudahkah memenuhi?

Ayuh, apa tunggu lagi,
mari kita jadi, yang "Terbaeeekkkkk"!

Al-Kahf: No Longer A Secret

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
Assalamualaikum wbt.

1. Today is Friday, or Jumuah. It is a day which is very special for us Muslims and it is on this day that we are encouraged to recite and learn (take lessons) from Surah Al-Kahf, the 18th surah of the Quran.

2. So as an introduction, let us see the following diagram about the virtues of Surah Al-Kahf as reported in ahadith.

3. As it is in Malay Language, let  me try to translate it for you (in English).

4. Basically the subject (in yellow ribbon background) reads "The Importance of Surah Al-Kahf."

5. It has 2 ahadith below it. Let me use my own words to convey the message to you.

6. The first hadith basically says, "From  Abu Al-Darda', our Messenger Nabi SAW says, whomever memorizes the first 10 verses (ayat) of Surah Al-Kahf, he is guaranteed protection from Dajjal the AntiChrist." (As narrated by Muslim No. 809)

7. The second one, it basically says, "From Ali RH, he reported from Rasulullah SAW that he SAW says, whomever recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday (Jumuah), he will be protected for 8 days from the trials and tribulations (fitnah) of this world, and even if Dajjal the AntiChrist appears, he (that recites Al-Kahf) will be protected." (Al-Dhurr Al-Manthur from Al-Suyuti 5:355)

8. Next, what you will see is a series of slides which I have captured from the net so that it is easier for you guys to read.

9. It is awesome and very useful because it breaks down the secrets of Surah Al-Kahf (as the title reads below) in a very beautiful and easy-to-understand manner. I hope it is helpful and for those who want to have a copy which you can read even when you are offline (or if the slides below are too small but you need larger images to read, (alhamdulillah) I have prepared a powerpoint presentation for you to download for free.

10. You can find the link to download from my archive page here.

11. I hope you'll benefit from this small benefit and please do share it around. Wallahuaklam and please do take care.

Wassalamu 'alaykum wbt.

With love,

peace be upon him

assalamualaikum akhi wa ukhwati.

while listening to azan, do we keep silent and answering the azan accordingly?

and after that do we recite the du'a?

let's take a look at this:

Diriwayatkan dari 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin al-'Ash bahawasanya dia mendengar Rasulullah SAW bersabda: "Jika kalian mendengar muazin berazan, maka ucapkanlah seperti yang diucapkan olehnya! Kemudian, berselawatlah kepadaku!

[HR Muslim, no. 875]

al-Washilah is a place in Jannah that is so special and only one person can reside there. thus my friend, for the sake of our beloved prophet Muhammad SAW, let's pray for him everytime after we listen to the azan.

lastly, let's all together follow my word :

Allahumma sholli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa shohbihi wasallam.

O Allah! Bestow peace on Muhammad and his descendants.

Salam Maulidur Rasul to all. =)

'Musah' berubah

" musah = mudah + susah "

Mari berubah.
Berubah kearah yang lebih baik.
Tidak perlu susah-susah berubah secara drastik.
Perubahan tidak semestinya grand.
Cukup sekadar perubahan minor yang positif.
Biarlah perubahan itu kecil.
Asalkan ianya berterusan.

Mengapa perlu risau kata-kata mereka ?

-quoted-

Belum cuba belum tahu…
Sudah cuba amal lah selalu.

Bukankah Allah suka amalan yang istiqamah walaupun sedikit ?

Jadi,

Berubahlah walaupun sedikit. Kata-kata orang memang sakit, tetapi ingatlah neraka Allah lagi perit.

Ragam nasib wanita di akhirat

Sahabat, Ali bin Abi Thalib r.a menceritakan "pada suatu hari aku bersama isteriku, Fatimah, berkunjung ke rumah Rasullah S.A.W. Ketika itu kami dapati baginda sedang menangis. Maka kami memberanikan diri dengan bertanyakan kepada baginda : "Wahai ayahanda, apakah gerangan yang menyebabkan ayahanda menangis?"
Nabi SAW bersabda: "ketika aku dimikrajkan ke langit, kepada diperlihatkan orang-orang yang diseksa begitu dahsyat. Setiap kali aku mengingatinya, aku selalu menangis sedih!".
Kami bertanya lagi, "Ya Rasulullah. Apakah yang kamu lihat saat itu?" Nabi SAW menjawab, " Saat itu aku menyaksikan :

  9. Perempuan bertubuh anjing, kemaluannya dimasukki lipan beracun, lalu keluar melalui duburnya, sambil dipukuli dengan palu yang membara.
Kemudian, berdirilah Fatimah seraya bertanya "Wahai ayahku, mohon jelaskan kepadaku tentang amal-amal para perempuan tersebut!" Maka Rasulullah SAW pun menjelaskan dalam sabdanya ," Wahai Fatimah puteriku, adapun :

Amortentia - Love Potion

*(you can just skip the first two or three paragraph…haha)

There are lots and lots of beautiful love story ever existed since the olden days. Stories that have moved some of us while inspired others. Be it the way Rasulullah always thinks of Siti Khadijah even long after her death or the magnificent of Tajmahal, built by Sultan Shah Jahan as the final resting place of his beloved third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Romeo, upon saying “See, how she leans her cheek upon her hand! O that I were a glove upon that hand, that I might touch that cheek!" leaves the audience in awe and smiling throughout their play. And about Princess Fiona, how she sacrifices her beauty to live an everlasting happy life with Shrek. These are just few of the thousands if not millions of love story ever had been told. And the sweetness of the story produces warmth and fuzziness in the heart of listeners. The only question is, why did I start my writing with such a paragraph? Well, the answer is easy. I can feel love blooming in IMU…haha..well.. I can feel the love tonite (Elton John)…

As a typical human being (if not typical Malaysian that is), when we read the sentence about the love blooming in IMU, we usually thought that there are new couples budding in IMU. Well… actually, that is far from the truth. Stop polluting the sacred word “love” with the narrow minded way of thinking that it is mainly between a boy and a girl, or between a man and a woman. There are lots of other forms of love such as between me and my muslim brothers, me and my parents and most definitely between me and Allah to name but few. And Aris Ariwatan (through his song entitled - 1 2 3 4) placed the love between a man and a woman last in his list. Haha... Hmm, do you know who is the greatest lover ever existed? Surely it is The Creator of Love and the Lover of Creation is it not? In malay, it translates as Pencipta Cinta dan Pencinta Cipta…and that is Allah. Even Aris Ariwatan admits this in the same song.

But is it true that love really is blooming in IMU? It sure is. Nowadays, you can see lots of people in surau seeking love from Allah, sons and daughters calling home finding some love from their parents, friends studying together to pass exam and people spending more time reciting dua’ after prayer asking for Allah’s help. Love is everywhere isn’t it? This always happens during exam periods. Do you want to know why? I’ll tell you later. Actually, the main point of this article is not to fret on the different types of love, but on how to love Allah using the same approach you love your girlfriend or your boyfriend. And I’m going to do this by dissecting the book on relationship written by John Grey (Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus) and Leil Lowndes (How to Make Anyone Fall in Love withYou) my style. I shall present to you what man and women need from their partner for successful relationship and relate it with what Allah wants in our relationship with the Almighty (so that we can have successful relationship with Allah of course). The theory is simple. If I can do this to the woman that I like, be it my mother, my sister, or my friends, then the same thing is the least that I can do toward Allah as He deserve lots more from me as compared to others. It’s only logical, rite? An important thing to note is that when I say relationship with man and woman, it does not necessarily indicate being a couple. Please widen our scope to include the relationship between us and our parents, siblings and friends. So…

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
To those that can relate,
This one is for you.

I know… lame isn’t it? Who cares…so… back to the topic. First and foremost, is how to kick start our relationship with Allah. Leil mentioned a research indicating that love is easier to start when you are emotionally aroused. It’s EMOTIONALLY aroused ok! People who are emotionally exhausted can easily fall in love with the next person they interact with. That is why she suggests that the first dating place should be somewhere that can exhaust our emotion. And that is why lots of couples emerge during the exam period (because it’s very EMOTIONALLY, MENTALLY and PHYSICALLY tiring). So, what does this has to do with our relationship with Allah? Well, it has everything to do with it. If we want to make some fast progress in our relationship with Allah, then, every single time that we are emotionally tired (after playing futsal, after watching horror movie, tired after a whole day of class or anything), contact Allah and talk with Him. Tell him our experience and ask for His guidance. Insya-Allah this will help us to feel closer to Him. Just try it and see the result. Trust me, I’m a future doctor after all (insya-Allah). Next we are going to see what women needs in their relationship with others (a sure way for us boys to get closer to them)and relates it to what Allah wants from us (so that we can be closer to Him insya-Allah).

According to John Gray, women need understanding, respect and devotion from others, especially the one they are close to. Understanding means to listen without judgment but with empathy and relatedness. One should gather meaning from what he or she heard from a woman and move toward validating what is being communicated. In our relationship with Allah, He wants us to read and understand without judgment every single word that he says in the Quran and gather the meaning trough the tafsir and finally validate that all that been said is true, relevant and should be practiced. It’s somewhat the same isn’t it? The second point is respect. Women feel respected when a guy acknowledge and prioritize her rights, wishes, and needs. And the same thing is what Allah wants from all of us. Sorry, not exactly the same thing as Allah doesn’t have any wishes or needs at all (correct me if I’m wrong). Allah is As-samad after all. And in the Quran, Allah says that he doesn’t even need us but we are the one who needs Him. So, to respect Allah, we only need to do one thing; prioritize His rights. Should be easier than fulfilling women’s three criteria isn’t it? Allah has lots of rights. The right to be obeyed, to be loved and to be placed at the top most position in our heart is just a few example of it. Just do this and you shall have smooth relationship with Allah, insya-Allah.So, the last point is devotion. Women would be delighted if her lover prioritize her needs and proudly commit himself to fulfilling her as this makes her feels adored and special. Just like this, we need to proudly commit ourselves to His cause to show our devotion towards Him hoping that in doing so, He will love us more. Men on the other hand, needs different thing in their relationship as compared with woman. They need trust, acceptance, appreciation and admiration (just do these girls, and he might get closer with you). And these needs shall be discussed further in the next paragraph.

Love Letters

A man feels trusted when others believed that he is doing his best and he wants the best for his partner. To trust a man means that believing that everything he does is for the best of him and others. We should also trust Allah in the same way. Believe that everything that happens to us is becauseit is the best for us. Be it an accident, flunked exam, break up with girlfriend, won a tournament, or anything. It is the best thing that can happen to us in that particular time as Allah want and knows the best thing for us at that specific time. The second point is acceptance. Men feels accepted when he is received without trying to be changed, meaning, he is accepted as he is. Same with Allah. Accept Him as perfect as He is. Don’t try to associate any being with Him and don’t even say he is staying anywhere as that is a form of rejection toward Allah. Refrain from doing syirk as it is the biggest form of rejection toward Allah. The third criterion is appreciation. Men are appreciated when others acknowledge having received personal benefit and value from his effort or behavior. We are always thankful for our friends and SP’s help, but how often have we been thankful for all Allah’s gifts for us? This is a mistreatment toward Allah and anonfulfillment towards his right. So, what we need to do is that, at least once a day, thanks Allah for all fortune and misfortune that had fell toward us for it is the best for us. Just a simple word Alhamdulillah is enough to start with. Lastly, a men needs to be admired. To admire a man is to regard him with wonder, delight and pleased approval. So, for our relationship with Allah, we must always praise him. How? Through zikr of course. Wet our buccal cavity with zikr and praise Allah always. Look at the magnificence of His creation and admire them as those reflect the strength and beauty of Allah.

Brothers and sisters. I’ve present to you what a woman and a man needs in their relationship with others. And I have related them with what Allah wants from us. Boys, to get closer to a woman, we need tounderstand, respect and devote to her. Girls, to make a man adore you, you have to trust, accept, appreciate and admire him. And to strengthen our relationship with Allah, we must understand, respect, devote, trust, accept, appreciate and admire Him. Most of us are willing to do this to tackle the heart of the one we love and hope to spend our life with. But few of us are eager to do this to Allah so that The Merciful will always love us. If we can do this to our mother, father or anyone that we love dearly, surely the same thing is the least we can do for Allah as He deserve lots more from us. Please be just toward His right. So, I wish us all to make the right choice on whom to use this technique with and have fun trying it. And with this wassalamu’alaikum w.b.t.

Adios!!!

let's be good to ourselves =)

Let’s learn a bit of psychology.

To be stable in personality is an essential feature of a fellow Muslim. For Heart is King and the whole body is the pawns, ready for command either it’s for the path of good, or evil.
Huh? Anything else??

Yes, there IS!

Besides that, ukhwah among the fellow brothers and sisters are also important as to generate a sense of togetherness and harmony. This in turn creates another term, a stable society.

Muslim personality --> Baitul Muslim --> Muslim society

Get it? =)

Below are some of the steps towards self-preservation into becoming a self-stable muslim personality, Insha’Allah. Enjoy! =)

Trust yourself. You know what you want and need.

Put yourself first. You can't be anything for anybody else unless you take care of yourself.

Let your feelings be known. They are important.Express your opinions. It's good to hear yourself talk.

Value your thinking. You do it well. Take the time and space you need. Even if other people are wanting something from you.

When you need something, don't talk yourself out of it. Even if you can't have it, it's ok to need. When you are scared, let someone know. Isolating yourself when you're scared makes it worse.

When you feel like running away, let yourself feel the scare. Think about what you fear will happen and decide what you need to do. When you're angry, let yourself feel the anger.

Decide what you want to do. Just feel it, express it, or take some action. When you're sad, think about what would be comforting.

When you're hurt, tell the person who hurt you. Keeping it inside makes it grow. When you have work to do and you don't want to do it, decide what really needs to be done and what can wait.

When you want something from someone else, ask. You'll be okay if they say no. Asking is being true to yourselves. When you need help, ask. Trust people to say no if they don't want to give.

When people turn you down, it usually has to do with them, and not with you. Ask someone else for what you need. When you feel alone, know there are people who want to be with you. Fantasize what it would be like to be with each of them. Decide if you want to make that happen.

When you feel anxious, let yourself know that in your head. You've moved into the future to something scary and your body has gotten up the energy for it. Come back to the present. When you want to say something loving to someone, go ahead. Expressing your feeling is not a commitment.

When someone yells at you, physically support yourself by relaxing into your chair or putting your feet firmly on the floor. Remember to breathe. Think about the message they are trying to get across to you.

When you're harassing yourself, stop. You do it when you need something. Figure out what you need and get it. When everything seems wrong, you are overwhelmed and need some comforting. Ask for it. Afterwards, you can think about what you need to do.

New Year: We Are Better

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Assalamualaikum wbt.

1. We are not Christians. Neither do we celebrate Christmas.

2. And this entry has nothing to do with either of the above.

3. But our new year, like many other aspects and elements in Islam, is very different from those of others.

4. One of the differences is certainly the way we celebrate it. The Western culture, which refers to free mixing between two opposite genders, in occasions where limits seem irrelevant, has somehow become the norm of our young modern Easterners, so to speak.

5. The sign is very clear. About 9 months after new year, we begin to have many new unmarried mothers, and therefore also their 'baby martyrs' who fought for life in either dustbins, dumping sites, drains or even in places like mosques.

6. It all started during the night of new year and you knew what happened.

7. This is merely something to reflect upon. The point I want to make is this. Do we do things because we just follow others and forced by current trend or are we really knowledgeable in things we practise and celebrate? Therefore, to grab this lesson (of the importance of knowledge) and strive to become a Muslim by choice instead of by chance, let us go through one of the major differences between Islam and other faiths and beliefs.

8. Islam, unlike most other major religions, is a name that is not derived from the names of people, places or even titles of individuals.

9. Let's go through some good examples for this.

10. Christianity, is derived from the word Christ, an English version of the Greek word, Khristos, which means the anointed one. In the original language of bible, Hebrew, this word is translated as Masiah and pronounced as Messiah in English. In Arabic (thus also in Quran), it is pronounced as Al-Masih.

11. Christ refers to prophet Isa AS whom is regarded as God or Son of God in Christianity.

12. One valid question therefore arises, that if Christianity is a true religion where Jesus is God, then what happened to people before Jesus Christ was born? If a religion is a true religion, it should be the one that exists since the lifetime of the first man in history, Adam AS.

13. Similarly, Buddhism is derived from Buddha, a Sanskrit word that means the awakened one, and is a title for its founder, Siddharta Gautama. Considering that Siddharta Gautama was also not the first person living on earth, then the question above is valid.

14. Thirdly, Hinduism is derived from a Sanskrit word, Sindhu, which is a title given to Indus River, located somewhere in Indian Subcontinent. In other words, this name is derived from a name of a place.

15. Often, Hinduism is regarded as the oldest religion in this world and for that matter, may be the closest to be a true religion, but we will refute this fact after understanding what Islam means.

16. First, our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW who was also our final messenger was not the founder of Islam.

17. Secondly, Mecca was not a place where Islam was found or originated from. Neither is Islam only for the Arabs, just because Muhammad SAW was an Arab.

18. Rather, Islam is a beautiful name, which is an Arabic word that is derived from 3 Arabic letters i.e sin, lam and mim. In a simplified way, sin, lam and mim can be properly understood as counterparts to the letter S, L and M respectively.

19. So, with this sin, lam and mim, the word Islam can come in many other forms (in Arabic) that carry other complementary meanings. One of examples is salam, which means peace.

20. Other than that, Islam also refers to submission, and authentic or original. So, one of the good complete meanings of Islam is to be submissive (by total surrender and loyalty) to Allah SWT through authentic ways (according to Quran and Sunnah) to attain peace (salam) in life now and in Hereafter.

21. Putting that definition into context, whomsoever that submits to Allah's will and act according to what He wants in authentic ways and to achieve peace, is indeed a Muslim!

22. So, when we say that Muhammad SAW was not the founder of Islam, it simply means that it was the same teaching of Islam that was revealed to all earlier messengers since Adam AS, the father of mankind. And this teaching refers to the fact that our God is One and Only, He is Allah SWT and we worship none but Him. All messengers brought this same message (21:25) to their people or ummah.

23. The difference is only basically in the language the teaching was revealed and the syariah (rulings) which suited the people of that particular messenger during their time. Muhammad SAW, however was sent to all mankind till the end of time.

24. Many proofs about the Muslim identity of other messengers can be found in the Quran. Please read the following:

"Abraham (Ibrahim) AS was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to Allah SWT (which is Islam) and he joined not gods with Allah."
Surah Ali-'Imran (3:67)

25. Prophet Noah said to his people this:

"But if ye turn back, (consider): no reward have I asked for you: my reward is only due from Allah, and I have been commanded to be of those who submit to Allah SWT's will (in Islam)."
Surah Yunus (10:72)

26. And 3 more here:

Prophet Abraham and Ishmael AS recited this prayer:

"Our Lord! Make of us Muslims, bowing to Thy (will), and of our progeny a people Muslim, bowing to Thy (will); and show us our place for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in mercy); for Thou art the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful."
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:128)

Prophet Joseph (Yusuf) AS declared in his prayer:

"O my Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on me some power, and taught me something of the interpretation of dreams and events, O Thou Creator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my Protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Take Thou my soul (at death) as one submitting to Thy will (as a Muslim), and unite me with the righteous."
Surah Yusuf (12:101)

Prophet Moses AS:

"Moses said: "O my people! If ye do (really) believe in Allah, then in Him put your trust if ye submit (your will to His).""
Surah Yunus (10:84)

27. Simply put, our most beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW was the final messenger (33:40) whom was sent for the whole humanity (21:107) and Allah has perfected this religion (5:3) which was revealed since Adam AS to Muhammad SAW because there will be no more messenger after him.

28. This perfect religion is also guaranteed to be preserved until the end of time (15:9) through the miracles (mukjizat) of Quran, our main reference in Islam, subhanallah!

29. Just shortly before we end, let me throw this question to you. I always wonder, and I believe many of us too, about why do we need to remember the names of other prophets though emphasis has somehow be put to Muhammad SAW and few other prophets only?

30. But the answer is simple. By understanding Islam more, everything we have in our mind starts to make more sense, because actually all other prophets were Muslims too, and we are just one of the many people whom submit themselves to Allah SWT.

31. That is precisely the reason why we do not make any unjust distinction between all prophets of Allah SWT but love and believe in them all. This is stated in the Quran, in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:285).

32.  I really hope that this writing will add more to our knowledge about Islam, and more importantly increase our faith in Him SWT and eventually make us better Muslims insya Allah.

33. Below is a video of the launching of our new logo last year. For some of us may have not yet known, you may want to watch this. May Allah bless us and place us together with the righteous and sincerest.

Take care. Wassalam.

change.

assalamualaikum.

Awal Muharram is around the corner! :D and when we talk about Awal Muharram, Hijrah will come to mind. so let's talk a bit about Hijrah, shall we?

as we all know, Hijri means migration literally, while for Muslims it has a special meaning of the emigration of Rasulullah SAW and the muslims from Mekah to Madinah. well, i'm not going to talk much about Hijrah in this context, but let's talk about hijrah in general.

migration. when we heard about migration we would think of moving from a place to another. of course, for the better. but is it necessary to think of hijrah only as migrating from a place to another? why don't we think of it in other context, for example "hijrah" from a lifestyle to another, for the better. it's easier to apply in our daily lives isn't it?

i have a friend. actually plenty of friends that i could refer to regarding the story that i would like to share but i choose to talk about this one friend of mine. i met her not too long ago. at our earlier encounter she's just like any other Muslim girl. i mean those that we can see around us in public. well, you guys know how majority of Muslim girls in this country right? as time goes by, i've seen her changed quite drastically, especially in her appearance. and i'm quite surprised and impressed with her determination, which i should take as an example or perhaps a role model for myself.

the point here is, whatever it is if we have the determination, the strong will, nothing is impossible. she managed to change herself for the better; to migrate from her old self into being a better muslimah. and with Allah's will, why can't we?

together let's pray to Allah to give us courage, determination, and guidance to be a better Muslim, Mu'min or even Muhsin. amiin.

last but not least, salam Maal Hijrah to all! =)
